Dear Public Service Director,

At St. Francis Medical Center, our Mission is life. And, our Mission reflects the guiding principle of the Daughters of Charity to serve the sick and the poor.  That’s why we created a Health Benefits Resource Center, a free one-stop center that links families in need to certain affordable health care options and benefits - including enrollment assistance for insurance programs, such as, Medi-Cal, Medicare, California Kids and CalFresh (food stamps).

Anyone in need can access the services of the Health Benefits Resource Center.

Certified Application Assisters will conduct a free eligibility assessment and enrollment assistance for individuals and families who wish to enroll in public programs such as Medi-Cal or CalFresh. In addition, the Center works as a dependable referral mechanism for physicians, social service agencies, schools, churches, and community-based organizations offering safety net programs.

We ask that you broadcast the attached 30-second public service announcement audio file, or use the script below for your announcers to voice. Should you wish to inform your listeners on your public affairs program, we would be happy to coordinate an interview with one of our health experts. The PSA is evergreen. St. Francis Medical Center is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization.

As a broadcaster, we know you are committed to informing your listeners about important health issues. We hope you’ll join us to help encourage those who need assistance accessing health care coverage or food assistance come to the Health Benefits Resource Center at St. Francis Medical Center. This is an important way you can address this issue to improve health outcomes.

Please call me at (310) 900-7332 if I can provide you with any further information or assistance.
